Recently, the 120,000 t/y melamine unit of Xinjiang Xinji Project, EPC-contracted by CNCEC-TCC, was successfully commissioned, with the first  batch of qualified products produced within 24 hours from the start of feeding. This milestone marks the full and successful completion of the entire project process flow.

Xinjiang Xinji Energy Project takes the clean and efficient utilization of coal as the main line, and builds an integrated circular economy industrial chain of "coal - synthetic ammonia - urea - melamine - new compound fertilizer", adopting technologies including Jinhua Coal Water Slurry Gasifier (waste boiler process), shift conversion, low-temperature methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, sulfur recovery, ammonia refrigeration, 15MPa ammonia synthesis, Stamicarbon CO₂ stripping urea process, Eurotecnica high-pressure melamine process, tower compound fertilizer and fluidized bed compound fertilizer technologies; the project has a production capacity of 1.5 million t/y new water-soluble compound fertilizer, 300,000 t/y diesel engine exhaust treatment fluid and 120,000 t/y melamine, with its overall process technology, comprehensive energy consumption, automation level and environmental protection indicators all reaching the industry-leading level.

The project had previously accomplished key commissioning milestones such as the gasifier feeding and the successful filling of the first batch of large-grain urea. As the EPC contractor, the CNCEC-TCC project team fully demonstrated its comprehensive strength in organizing the construction of large-scale chemical projects under complex operating conditions, coordinated the whole-chain advancement of design, procurement and construction with a high level of professionalism and sense of responsibility, and ensured the seamless connection and efficient progress of all links in the project construction. Faced with the challenges of building the largest single-unit melamine plant in China and the world’s first plant adopting Eurotecnica’s 5th-generation high-pressure process, the project team adhered to technology leadership and pursued excellence, closely cooperated with the owner, repeatedly demonstrated and improved the commissioning plan, and continuously tackled key problems in construction under extremely cold weather and the coordination of multi-unit co-production, laying a solid foundation for the successful one-time commissioning of the melamine plant. As we stand at the starting line of the new journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), CNCEC-TCC will uphold its corporate mission of “Building a Colorful World, Creating a Better Life”, continuously strengthen technological innovation and project management capabilities, steadily improve the level of EPC services, strive to build more high-quality landmark projects, and make unremitting efforts to accelerate the development into a world-class innovative engineering company, contributing more wisdom and strength to serving national strategies and regional economic development.
