On November 30, Mr. Jiao Zaiyue attended the groundbreaking ceremony of PETROKEMYA MTBE project with Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Faji, CEO of SABIC, and members of the Board of Directors. This project aims to build a new MTBE production device with an annual output of 1 million tons in the existing factory by using SABIC's proprietary patented technology. The device includes three main units: n-butane isomerization, isobutane dehydrogenation, and MTBE synthesis, along with the other utility facility. After completion, it will have the largest MTBE capacity in the world, creating much more opportunities for local employment and improving the local manufacturing level of petrochemical supply chain.
