Recently, the kick-off meeting for the gasification and shift unit of the 800,000 t/a coal-to-olefins project of Zhundong Wucaiwan, Xinjiang Shanneng Chemical Co., Ltd., which is EPC-contracted by CNCEC-TCC, was successfully held.
It is reported that the project is located in the Modern Coal Chemical Industry Demonstration Zone of Xinjiang Zhundong Economic & Technological Development Zone, and ranks among the key projects under the national 14th Five-Year Plan for the modern coal chemical industry. Adopting the world’s first opposed multi-nozzle pressurized pulverized coal gasification technology with waste heat boiler and quench type jointly developed with TCC, the project features broader coal adaptability and superior technical indicators. Upon completion, the project will deliver replicable and promotable technical solutions for the clean and efficient utilization of high-chlorine and high-alkali metal raw coal in the Zhundong region. It will play a vital role in expanding the regional coal chemical industrial cluster and boosting the high-quality development of Xinjiang’s energy industry.
