Recently, a significant milestone was achieved in the PC&BPA joint facility of the Fujian Zhongsha Gulei Project, EPC-contracted by CNCEC-TCC. The core equipment—the cumene tower—of the cumene unit was successfully hoisted as a single unit after "insulation and cladding," marking the flawless completion of the first tower hoisting ceremony. The project has now entered the critical peak phase for equipment installation, establishing a robust foundation to ensure seamless progress throughout the remaining project lifecycle.
The cumene tower is one of the core components of the facility. The project team employed the "single host lifting and feeding method," utilizing a hydraulic synchronous lifting system for high-precision displacement control. To ensure precise equipment positioning, the project team adhered to the philosophy of "planning first, technology-driven execution,"conducting multiple rounds of scheme demonstration and technical tackling.Through accurate calculations of crane operating radii and load distribution, along with refined obstacle-clearance plans for equipment transport and hoisting routes, they effectively overcame complex challenges including narrow site constraints and significant vertical lifting heights. Ultimately, the team accomplished this milestone with triple assurance in safety, quality, and efficiency.
