Recently, a major milestone was reached in the gasification unit of the Xinjiang Zhongtai New Materials Resource Comprehensive Utilization Methanol Upgrade Demonstration Project, EPC-contracted by CNCEC-TCC. The project’s core equipment—the gasifier—was successfully ignited on the first attempt, marking the unit’s full readiness for commissioning.
To ensure flawless execution of the ignition and drying operations, the project team of CNCEC-TCC collaborated closely with the owner, implementing meticulous planning and deployment. For technical preparations, multidisciplinary engineers conducted multiple rounds of joint inspections to verify critical aspects including process systems, instrumentation controls, and safety interlock systems involved in the drying and firing operations. In system commissioning, sequential preparations such as valve debugging, DCS program testing, and video surveillance system joint debugging were completed. For safety assurance, specialized technical briefings on the ignition and drying plan were organized for construction teams, alongside dedicated hazard identification meetings, establishing a solid foundation for the successful first ignition.
Moving forward, the Xinjiang Zhongtai Project Department will thoroughly implement the parent company’s "135" development strategy, aiming to build an exemplary project. The team will fully support the owner in commissioning activities, ensuring high-standard and high-quality project completion and operation. This commitment aims to deliver a satisfactory outcome to the owner and contribute significantly to the high-quality growth of both the group company and CNCEC-TCC.
