TCC signed the EPC contract with Eastern Petrochemical Company (Sharq, a joint venture between SABIC and SPDC) for its Sharq Cracker DBN project

On Oct. 1st, TCC signed the EPC contract with Eastern Petrochemical Company (Sharq, a joint venture between SABIC and SPDC) for its Sharq Cracker DBN project, also symbolized the commencement of the project. Due to the current pandemic, the General Manager of TCC Saudi Arabia Branch, Mr. Yang Xiaokang, and the President of Sharq, Mr. Baker Fallatah signed online.

 

The project is located in Sharq, Jubail Industry Zone, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The facility was first built in 1981, is a worldwide olefins complex. The project utilized the advanced technology, provided by Technip, to expand the current cracking facility to make the facility more economical, and replace the key equipment to make the facility more reliable.

 

This project is also a milestone for TCC of its first project in cracking field. The cooperation between TCC and Technip is also a new start with international technology providers. Meanwhile, this project is the 13th consecutive project for TCC in Saudi Arabia, and the largest project awarded by SABIC after the pandemic.

 

TCC will make effort to secure the project execution and achieve a new milestone in Saudi Arabia.
