Recently, the 110kV substation for the Juzhengyuan (Jieyang) Acetic Acid Project—the world’s largest single-train acetic acid facility EPC-contracted by CNCEC-TCC—was successfully energized on the first attempt. This critical milestone lays a solid foundation for subsequent tasks, including energizing public utility substations, individual motor testing, commissioning of the plant-wide control system, and the project’s overall intermediate handover.

The project is a key initiative under Guangdong Province’s Thousands-Hundreds-Tens Project". Its core components include a 1.5 MTA acetic acid unit, CO cryogenic separation and compression facilities, and auxiliary utilities. Upon completion, it will fill Guangdong’s acetic acid production gap, inject new vitality into local socioeconomic development, drive growth in related industries, and create significant employment opportunities. The 110kV substation—independently designed by TCC’s team—innovatively reconfigured electrical equipment layouts despite spatial constraints in both footprint and building height. This enabled a single structure to simultaneously serve dual functions: a plant-wide power distribution management system and a dedicated power distribution/transformation system for the acetic acid unit.
