Shandong Zhongran Baogang Liquefied Hydrocarbon Depot Project Successfully Completed
Recently, the Shandong Zhongran Baogang Liquefied Hydrocarbon Depot Project, EPC-contracted by CNCEC-TCC, was successfully completed. Deng Pindong, General Manager of Shandong Zhongran Baogang Energy Development Co., Ltd., and Ji Li, Deputy General Manager of CNCEC-TCC, attended the completion ceremony.
The project team of TCC completed the construction task in 435 days with craftsmanship and dedication, finishing all construction content 8 days ahead of the contract schedule, setting a new record for construction speed in China’s LPG sector. During construction, the project department innovatively implemented a "modular engineering design + integrated penetration management" model, front-loading construction planning, promoting multi-disciplinary collaborative optimization, and achieving efficient full-process coordination. Through the "Four 100-Day" phased target control system, it advanced progress while enhancing both quality and efficiency. All sub-divisional works met qualified standards, with a one-time pass rate for pipeline welding NDT reaching 99.3% and TOFD testing qualification rate for cryogenic tank steel plates reaching 98.7%. The project ranked first in safety and civilized construction among 48 key projects in Dongying, demonstrating exceptional technical and management capabilities.
It is reported that this project is Dongying’s first low-temperature liquefied hydrocarbon storage facility, listed as a 2024 Shandong Province green low-carbon high-quality development key project. Phase I includes two 80,000-cubic-meter propane tanks, one 60,000-cubic-meter butane cryogenic tank, and supporting pipe racks, with an annual throughput of 2 million tonnes. Upon full completion, the throughput will exceed 4 million tonnes, providing stable raw material security for regional refining enterprises while enhancing supply chain safety and stability, and promoting circular development of C3 and C4 industrial chains.
