Successful Installation of the Dome of the 120,000-Cubic-Meter Cryogenic Ethane Storage Tank for Vietnam Long Son Project

Time:2025/11/11 Source:

Recently, the dome lifting operation of the 120,000-cubic-meter cryogenic ethane storage tank for the Vietnam Long Son Project, which is undertaken by CNCEC-TCC as the general contractor, has been successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installation and construction of the project.

The dome lifted this time is one of the core components of the storage tank, with a module weight of approximately 18 tons. Facing challenges such as high difficulty in lifting and continuous rainfall, the project team of CNCEC-TCC quickly formed a special task force, established a 24-hour meteorological monitoring and early warning mechanism, conducted surveys and planning of the crawler crane's travel route weeks in advance, and coordinated all parties to clear route obstacles and optimize the operation process, laying a solid foundation for the on-schedule lifting of the dome. After 7 days of day-and-night hard work and precise cooperation, 24 pieces of "steel sky" were accurately connected inside the storage tank, with the overall installation error controlled at the millimeter level. The lifting task was completed with high standards, fully demonstrating CNCEC-TCC's outstanding technology and efficient execution capability in the construction of large-scale cryogenic storage tanks.

The successful completion of this milestone has created favorable conditions for the subsequent internal tank installation and construction of the project.
