The World’s Tallest Under-Construction Coal-Water Slurry Gasification Framework Successfully Completes Civil Capping
Recently, the civil engineering capping of the gasification framework for the gasification unit of the China Coal Yulin Phase II Project, which is under the EPC general contract of CNCEC-TCC, has been successfully completed. The achievement of this milestone marks the official transition of the project construction from the civil construction phase to the equipment installation phase, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent project construction.
As the "energy heart" of the gasification unit of the China Coal Yulin Phase II Project, the two gasification frameworks have a building height of 105 meters, making them the world's tallest under-construction coal-water slurry gasification frameworks, with their design and construction at the industry-leading level. To address the challenge of high-altitude concrete pumping at 105 meters, the technical team of CNCEC-TCC innovatively adopted a "graded pumping + ultra-high pressure delivery pipe" construction plan, using special high-pressure-resistant deli
very pipes to effectively avoid problems such as concrete segregation and pipeline blockage, ensuring continuous and stable pouring throughout the process. Facing the safety risks of high-altitude operations at 105 meters, the project team built a full-process safety management system that "covers all aspects horizontally and reaches all levels vertically", strictly implemented the safety production responsibility system, and fully promoted the dual prevention mechanism of "risk classification management and control + hidden danger investigation and management", ensuring "zero safety accidents and zero casualties" in project construction.
