Kazakhstan IPCI Propane Dehydrogenation to Propylene and Polypropylene Project Passes Performance Evaluation
Recently, the Kazakhstan IPCI Propane Dehydrogenation to Propylene and Polypropylene Project, undertaken by CNCEC-TCC, successfully passed performance evaluation tests, hydraulic tests, demonstration operation tests, and de-load tests, and the test reports have been approved and signed. Achieving this important milestone signifies that the project’s plant has fully met all established production design parameters, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent handover of the project.
This project is a vivid practice and important achievement of implementing the "Belt and Road" initiative. It is also Kazakhstan’s first large-scale chemical project and is included in the first batch of key projects for China-Kazakhstan capacity cooperation, strengthening the deep economic cooperation between China and Kazakhstan. The project is located in Atyrau Province, Kazakhstan, with KazMunayGas as the owner. China National Chemical Engineering is the general contractor, and CNCEC-TCC is primarily responsible for the construction of the polypropylene unit and all the public utilities for the entire plant. During the construction process, the project team ensured strict adherence to timelines and standards, meticulously planned, and carefully organized. As a result, the project’s facilities demonstrated excellent performance in all tests and successfully met the evaluation criteria.
Moving forward, the project team will continue to focus on the Group's "135" development strategy, adhering to the corporate CNCEC’s spirit of "Integrity, Responsibility, Innovation, and Progress." The team will clarify tasks, coordinate arrangements, strengthen responsibilities, and complete the remaining tasks successfully, delivering a satisfactory result to the client.
