TCC Signs FEED Contract for Nigeria BUA Methanol-Ammonia-Urea Project
Recently, CNCEC-TCC signed a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract with Nigeria’s BUA Chemical Company for a methanol-ammonia-urea project. This project marks a significant milestone in Sino-Nigerian chemical industry cooperation. The signing of the FEED contract signifies the transition from preliminary planning to substantive execution and reflects the group company’s implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, building "three key windows and one golden business card," and promoting clean energy production in Africa.
The project fully utilizes abundant local natural gas resources, employing mature natural gas conversion, methanol synthesis, ammonia synthesis, and urea processes to construct natural gas-to-methanol, ammonia, and urea plants. This will effectively reduce raw material procurement and transportation costs while significantly enhancing project economics. Upon completion, it will create substantial employment opportunities and tax revenue in Nigeria, promote industrial upgrading, reduce import dependency, advance economic diversification, and deepen bilateral cooperation in infrastructure and energy resources, supporting the Belt and Road Initiative’s implementation in Africa.
Next, TCC will thoroughly implement the group’s "135" development strategy and "123456" working approach, integrating engineering expertise, digital momentum, and full-industry-chain management wisdom to establish the "China Chemical" image in Nigeria and enhance the brand’s global influence.
